What Helps Move My Energy by Ella Dorsey

When the energy in my body feels too much, either positively or negatively, I find comfort in a variety of techniques that assist me in controlling and directing that energy.

For example, meditating and practicing mindfulness are two effective strategies I use. I can center myself and find my equilibrium again by taking a few minutes to sit still, pay attention to my breathing, and be in the now. This exercise generates a balanced mental and physical condition by amplifying good energy and dissipating negative energy.

For me, exercise—especially yoga or a vigorous walk—is another transformational method. Pent-up energy can be released through movement, and the steady pace of the exercises helps to bring back a sense of peace and balance. This method not only helps me release extra energy, but it also gives me a boost of energy when I need it.

Furthermore, expressing oneself creatively—whether via writing, painting, or music—serves as a healing outlet for both positive and negative energies.

And writing in a journal gives me a platform to express my feelings, and creating art gives me a useful way to direct that energy toward something worthwhile.

By practicing these techniques with my Squad, I create a space where we can all work together to explore the complex relationships that exist between energy, the mind, and the body. It also builds a sense of collective understanding and support.
